In February 2024 we where so lucky to receive a parcel of some Naja Katiensis Snake Skin donated to That Little Museum. 

We are the first ever museum to have this in our collection as this snake is extremely rare and the only zoo believed to keep this snake in the world kindly gave this to us. 

The story behind how the zoo received this species of snake is actually a facernsting one. 

A man decided to import a rock into the country and when he got the rock home hidden inside was four baby Naja Katiensis snakes! 
not knowing what to do he contacted the zoo and asked if they would take the snakes on and of course they said yes. 

They are believed to be the only zoo in the world to have this snake in their collection and they decided to donate some of its skin to us so we can educate ourselves on this wonderful snake.
